Avaya IP Office is an intelligent communications solution specially designed to meet the communications challenges facing small and midsized businesses. The Avaya IP Office is highly modular scaling from 2 to 360 telephones to meet the needs of home offices, standalone businesses, and networked branch and head offices. IP Office supports a wide range of telephones but the 5400 series Digital phones and the 5600 series IP phones have been specifically designed to work with IP Office and provide small and midsized businesses with a choice of solutions to meet business efficiency and customer service requirements.

The PARTNER® Advanced Communications Release 7 System's processor module supports five incoming lines and nine extensions, while PARTNER Basic's system processor module supports 3 incoming lines and 8 extensions.

The maximum system configuration is 19 lines and 44 extensions, or 31 lines and 8 extensions. Either processor module can operate on its own or can be used with a 2- or 5-slot carrier and additional expansion modules. Expansion modules can be used to add lines and extensions to the system, or additional capabilities such as voice messaging and fractional T1 support.

PARTNER ACS systems support a wide variety of features including Caller ID (name and number), Distinctive Ringing, Send All Calls, Speed Dialing, and five-party conferencing, each helping employees to be more efficient and productive.

Cell Phone Connect via the T1 module enables customers to answer calls even if they are out of the office by simultaneously allowing calls to ring simultaneously at their desk phone and to their cell phone. Enhanced accessibility is also achieved through the Remote Call Forwarding feature, which enables a call to be immediately directed to any external number.

A variety of cost control features provide for better telephone expense management and system performance monitoring. The PARTNER system is easy to install and administer. It is simple to add modules and telephones; and software upgrades can be performed easily by inserting a PCMCIA card into the system.

The Avaya MERLIN MAGIX® Integrated System is a public branch exchange (PBX) with a built-in ability to emulate a traditional key system. The system uses a single platform to deliver key communications capabilities from basic voice to Internet access, making it highly cost-effective and easy to install, service, maintain, and grow.

This flexible and scalable system is designed to meet the evolving communications needs of small- and mid-sized businesses. This solution is ideal for small companies looking for the latest communications features, as well as for larger companies who can install this system in their branch offices. The system's networking capabilities enable multiple locations to communicate across the public switched telephone network (PSTN) or across an Internet Protocol (IP) network.

The MERLIN MAGIX® Integrated System supports up to 80 lines and 200 extensions. Businesses can easily enhance their MERLIN MAGIX® Integrated System by adding any of a growing number of e-business, customer service, or computer telephony integration (CTI) applications available from Avaya and Avaya Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners around the world, including:

The MERLIN MAGIX Integrated System simplifies administration and maintenance, which can reduce operating costs. Programming is via a user-friendly, graphical user interface (GUI)-based software application: the Microsoft Windows-based System Programming and Maintenance (WinSPM) software. This application provides on-screen icons and menu choices to guide system administrators through the administration process.

WinSPM software also provides convenient access to current system information, giving businesses a comprehensive picture of their system and station programming, instead of isolated and less effective features or function screens. With WinSPM, administrators can manage multiple MAGIX systems from an Internet connection anywhere in the world.
